Golden Joystick Awards 2013 - The Winners

Platforms: Android

There were few major surprises in this year’s Golden Joystick Awards, with Rockstar’s behemoth GTA V winning the coveted Best Game, and Naughty Dog justifiably celebrating success in three categories including Studio of the Year, thanks to The Last of Us. Dennaton Games were left empty-handed after Hotline Miami missed out in all six of its nominated categories.

Arguably, the biggest shock was CD Projekt’s third instalment in The Witcher series beating both Microsoft and Sony’s upcoming consoles to collect the Most Wanted accolade. An indication, perhaps, that fatigue has set in amongst the gaming populace after acres of column inches were devoted to the two machines over the past few months.
