Marvel's Avengers features 'continuous single-player and co-operative gameplay' - assemble up to 4 players, customisable heroesPlatforms: All
Update: The Marvel's Avengers Showcase E3 page has been updated to remove the leaked gameplay information, it now simply reads, "Join Crystal Dynamics and Marvel Games for a Panel about Marvel’s The Avengers". That is confirmation enough that the details we revealed yesterday were in-fact meant to be saved for the June 10th reveal.
Original story: Yesterday it was announced that over two years after its initial reveal, Square Enix would finally show off their highly anticipated Avengers Project at E3 2019. Now, ahead of the reveal, some more details on the game have been announced, including that the game can be played in four-player co-op.
The game has now received an official title of Marvel's Avengers, and because of an E3 Coliseum page on the E3 Expo website, we now know a little bit more about what to expect ahead of the big reveal on June 10th.
The page details a talk where members of the development team at Crystal Dynamics and the creative team at Marvel Games will speak exclusively about Marvel's Avengers. The showcase page goes on to reveal that this is "the defining Avengers gaming experience". The page then details the game as an "epic action-adventure that combines cinematic storytelling with continuous single-player and co-operative gameplay".
You will be able to "assemble in teams up to four players, master extraordinary abilities, customize your heroes to fit your playstyle, and combine powers to defend an ever-expanding world under constant threat".
The "ever-expanding world" part gives me chills. Give me a video game MCU please.
This additional information has me even more excited for the huge reveal of Marvel's Avengers on June 10th, or June 11th at 2am in the UK.
