Pokémon Sword and Shield Direct announced for next week, Pokémon Press Conference coming tomorrow

Platforms: Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has announced a Pokémon Direct for June 5th that will exclusively focus on Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield for the Nintendo Switch. Additionally, a Pokémon Press Conference has been announced for tomorrow, May 28th.

The Pokémon Direct will last for roughly 15 minutes and will bring new information on the two tent-pole Nintendo Switch games of 2019.

Check back on the 5th and watch it right here if you'd like.

Prior to next week's Direct we have only seen Pokémon Sword and Shield once, when they were initially revealed. Hopefully a release date will be amongst the new information announced on June 5th. The game is still scheduled for late 2019.

The Pokémon Direct will begin at 2pm on June 5th for those in the UK. We'll have all the details for you following the livestream if you can't catch it live.

The Pokémon Press Conference is scheduled for May 28th, that's tomorrow, at 6pm PDT, or May 29th at 2am for UK folk. The press conference promises "exciting updates". I'm personally hoping for a Nintendo Switch remake of the Detective Pikachu game on 3DS, or, a sequel to that game. Get Ryan Reynolds in, why not?

The Pokémon Press Conference is streaming live from Japan on Twitch.

The Pokémon Company recently revealed a brand-new mobile game called Pokémon Rumble Rush, a free-to-start beat-em-up in the Pokémon Rumble series. Rumble Rush is coming soon to iOS and Android.
