Final Fantasy VII Remake gets new gameplay trailerPlatforms: Sony PlayStation 4
Closing out PlayStation's State of Play livestream was a brand new gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake, this is the first time we have been given a substantial look at the game since PlayStation Experience in 2015.
The trailer was short but sweet, giving fans the chance to see the game's beautiful cinematic cutscenes, followed by plenty of gameplay footage to comb through. Check it out one thousand times below.
The trailer ends with the promise of "More to come in June", clearly implying that the game will be shown in some capacity at E3. Fans of the classic original have been waiting many years to see more from Final Fantasy VII Remake, and now it appears as though 2019 will be a blowout year for the game.
Following the reveal, the official Final Fantasy Twitter account released some more intriguing information. Director of the game, Tetsuya Nomura says "Most of the plans are already in place in the run up to launch, so please bear with us a little longer until we can release more information next month". This seems to imply that the game's launch is much closer than we might think. Is this finally the year we play the Final Fantasy VII Remake?
Hopefully, E3 will reveal all the answers and we'll have that release date locked down.
