ST and Amiga programmers rejoice - STOS/AMOS are to return for modern computers
Francois Lionet - the creator of the awesome AMOS and STOS Basic for the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST - has announced that he's working on AMOS 2. The original languages built up a massive following in the 16-bit days with much of the public domain and shareware software communities built on those packages. Some of our fondest memories are playing games built in STOS and we even created a few (admittedly terrible) games in them ourselves.
Development is already well underway and the first 'version' restricted version of the software will be available before the end of October.
Francois Lionet has set up a Patreon to support his development.
