My Friend Pedro Review

My Friend Pedro Review

My Friend Pedro is one of the year’s best titles, and is easily among the Switch’s premier indie titles. It’s funny, it’s stylish, and it’s challenging in all the best ways, and definitely needs to be played by anyone looking for their next quick hit of action gaming.

SUPERHOT VR - Oculus Quest Review

SUPERHOT VR - Oculus Quest Review

Ultimately, SUPERHOT VR feels more like the ultimate tech demo than a fully-fledged VR essential. Its gameplay is incredibly engaging, and it’s a perfect title to introduce someone to the capabilities of the Quest, but its runtime is rather short if you’re purchasing it just for yourself. There is replay value in the post-game modes, but you’re more likely to relive the magic by introducing SUPERHOT VR to someone else.

Fruit Ninja VR - Oculus Quest Review

Fruit Ninja VR - Oculus Quest Review

Fruit Ninja VR is a cheap, cheerful, and colourful arcade title that’s great to have in your catalogue. It’s got infinite replay value if you’re a score-chaser, but its appeal is otherwise limited. If you’re looking for a simple title to introduce friends and family to virtual reality, though, or just want a mindless game to warm up and wind down with, Fruit Ninja VR is the versatile multi-tool worth having in your VR toolbelt.

Void Bastards Review

Void Bastards Review

Void Bastards might be the perfect introductory roguelite for beginners. Retaining all of your hard-earned weapons and upgrades across deaths – coupled with not starting on the same boring level with every new character – makes this a more user-friendly take on the genre than we’re used to. The nail-biting tension that it starts with doesn’t last for the entire journey, but it’s worth experiencing for the gorgeous aesthetic alone.

Snakeybus Review

Snakeybus Review

Snakeybus is honest fun and beautiful, varied graphics, combined into an arcade game that's hedonistically addictive. It's admittedly light on features, but the core gameplay loop is enough to keep you hooked for a few hours. Just as the fun starts to wear thin, a new level usually unlocks to keep things interesting.

Surviving Mars: Green Planet Review

Surviving Mars: Green Planet Review

Green Planet provides an end game and sense of conclusion to Surviving Mars, offering up enough challenge and new content to keep those already interested on the hook and perhaps even provoke some fence sitters to reach into their pockets and pay up for a ticket to a potential future.

The Swords of Ditto: Mormo's Curse Review

The Swords of Ditto: Mormo's Curse Review

The Swords of Ditto: Mormo's Curse may have some room for improvement but provides a lot of a joy and endless hours of gameplay. It's fun and darn right adorable and that's enough for me!

Unruly Heroes Review

Unruly Heroes Review

But for its claustrophobic close combat control system and difficulty spikes, Unruly Heroes is a fun and visually appeasing adventure platform worthy of your time.

Team Sonic Racing Review

Team Sonic Racing Review

Team Sonic Racing is, above all else, a fun kart racing game that stumbles a little with difficulty spikes in single player and slow down in split screen multiplayer, Those looking for a challenging but welcoming racing game to play with friends and family are likely to get exactly what they're looking for.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Review

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Review

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen still looks and feels just as good as it did way back in 2012 and I love it just as much now as I did then. It's a solid RPG that offers you that little bit extra and you will easily get hundreds of hours out of it if you're willing to put it the graft, which you can do a hell of a lot easier now you can take it on the go.

Blazing Beaks Review

Blazing Beaks Review

Blazing Beaks is a lot of things, all at once, splitting focus between a rogue-lite Story mode and twin-stick local multiplayer shenanigans. Neither mode is perfect, and there might be stronger options available if you’re only interested in one of these genres, but there’s an astonishing level of replay value here, across the board. You’d be quackers to miss it.

Rise of Industry Review

Rise of Industry Review

Rise of Industry goes out of its way to provide you with options. From its custom difficulties to the extensive research trees, there an enormous amount of replay value. With so many plates spinning simultaneously, it’s inevitable that one or two come crashing down, but no one said building an empire would be easy.

Katana Zero Review

Katana Zero Review

Katana Zero was a pleasant surprise. I did not expect the emotional roller coaster I was about to embark on. It ticks all the boxes; great soundtrack, great gameplay, a well told story. I don't think there are enough words to explain how much I enjoyed this one. It is easily my favorite game of the year so far and I suggest you play it.
