The Best Games of 2018
MOTHERGUNSHIP Review
MOTHERGUNSHIP gives you everything you expect from a FPS Bullet hell. Which is to say that there are a lot of bullets, both to dodge and to fire. It is a frenetic and chaotic shooter with a great crafting system that makes the whole thing feel like LEGO had an angry baby with Doom.

The UHD51 is an affordable 4K projector that looks beautiful but has a few small niggles.

An enjoyable journey into better, more dinosaur filled times, that will keep you entertained throughout. The careful balancing acts that are required are demanding without being overwhelming and the dinosaurs look great.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection Review
An immense collection of classic fighting games that shows off just how good the Street Fighter series is. The games themselves are one thing, but the inclusion of the Museum mode allows you to learn so much about the series. Games are often said to be love letters, this is a love encyclopedia and is essential for fans of the series.

Dark Souls Remastered Review
Dark Souls Remastered is a solid reminder of the incredible strength of the original entry in the series. There are certainly some comforts lost by going back to the start, but the game is still incredible. Whether you have never played it before or you miss the good old days, this is a great remaster.

Quarantine Circular is another brilliantly written game that will have you taking up different mind sets to get through it. It is at times charming, upsetting and inspiring and will have you playing it through to its conclusion in one sitting without you realising.

The addition of new anomalies, leviathans, and gates to new systems Distant Stars does a great job of continuing the ongoing expansion of Stellaris. The game is an immensely enjoyable experience and the new features serve to give even more variety in each match.

Gunman Clive Review
A short but intensely satisfying experience on the 3DS, Gunman Clive takes the best examples of the golden age of platforming and envelops them in the desert tones and atmosphere of the old west.

A beautiful platform adventure with gentle puzzle solving and a strong anime influence. Highly recommended.

The Adventure Pals Review
A wonderfully charming platformer than has more character in the first five minutes than some manage in their entirety. The inclusion of local co-op means you can make your way through the story with a friend and share the weirdness together.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Review
A brutally challenging game made more accessible by both, being on a better console, and having the funkiest of Kongs as a playable character. Incredibly good fun and with an asburd amount of secrets to find, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a truly impressive platformer that is so hard you will be a more grizzled gamer for coming out of the other side of it.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy Review
Getting all three of these games is great and while the first is showing its age, the second and third instalments are still enjoyable fighting games. It is worth playing through the games in order for the story but for multiplayer the third is definitely the best option.
Our Rating: 8/10

7 hours in and this game is addictive and rewarding in a way that suggests there will few other games this year that can compete. It is as if Level-5 have put everything they have done in a cauldron and magically created this incredible RPG.

A solid strategy game that may suffer slightly from being, as with the surface of Mars, a little too dry
