The first trailer for Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird has just landed

Check out the first trailer for Greta Gerwig's directorial début, Lady Bird, which you can watch above. The film has been picking up great reviews on the festival circuit since its première at Telluride in early September and features a pretty solid cast too.

Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) fights against but is exactly like her wildly loving, deeply opinionated and strong-willed mom, Marion (Laurie Metcalf), a nurse working tirelessly to keep her family afloat after Lady Bird's father, Larry (Tracy Letts), loses his job. Set 15 years ago in Sacramento, California, amidst a rapidly shifting American economic landscape, Lady Bird looks at the family relationships that define so much of our lives.

Gerwig also wrote the script, while Odeya Rush and Kathryn Newton also feature in the film.

Lady Bird is currently pencilled in for a February 16th 2018 release date in the UK.
