First trailer appears for The Florida Project

The trailer for Sean Baker's The Florida Project has appeared, following on from his surprise hit Tangerine, which was shot completely on an iPhone 5s.

Six-year-old Moonee (Brooklynn Prince) lives with her mother Halley (Bria Vinaite) in a low-rent motel, The Magic Castle, only a stones throw away from Disney World. It is far from perfect but helped by their friend Bobby (Willem Dafoe), they make the most of what life has to offer.

The trailer looks like yet another fascinating character study from Baker, led by a six-year-old who is bound to find her way into Oscar talk later nearer the time, much like Sunny Pawar last year.

The Florida Project will hit the UK on January 12th next year.
