Andy Kaufman is Jim Carrey? See for yourself in the trailer for Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond

It's taken almost 20 years to see the light of day but the trailer for Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond - The Story of Jim Carrey & Andy Kaufman Featuring a Very Special, Contractually Obligated Mention of Tony Clifton (it's full title) reveals behind scenes footage from the set of 1999's Man on the Moon.

After sifting through over 100 hours of material, American Movie director Chris Smith and producer Spike Jonze, spliced together footage shot by Kaufman's ex-girlfriend, Lynne Margulies. As you can see in the trailer, Carrey went in deep, taking on the persona of Kaufman full-time giving everything to the role. In what looks like a candid interview with Carrey himself, the documentary looks to pose some interesting questions about the nature and limits of performance.

Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond... is released via Netflix on November 17th.
