TDF Film Podcast 49 - 2015 Top10 Review

Also available on: iTunes | stitcher

We’re on the wrong end of January to be stating this, but Happy New Year to one and all who come to peruse our Digital Fix site! If you’re a regular then you may recall our 2015 Top10 Review article at the start of January, where our busy contributors got together and voted in a poll to determine the ten best films of 2015. At the time we promised an accompanying podcast that would delve into the list in much more detail than a simple article – and here it is!

In our 2015 Top10 Review podcast we will ruminate on our contributor picks and a number of other titles that didn’t make the cut (including the mighty success of Star Wars!), but we also say a sad goodbye to recently departed friend Mike Sutton and a hearty hello to our new host James Perkins. Regulars will have spotted already that James has been responsible for transforming the news section of the site into something that actually runs regularly, so we’re glad to have him on board of the podcast team as well.

Unfortunately our former perennial host John White has stepped down from podcast duties owing to the passing of Mike Sutton, which certainly took the wind from our podcasting sails back in November. We can only thank him for the 40+ episodes he recorded for the site (and the countless reviews) and hope he goes on to bigger and better things from here!

Anyone who has listened to our podcasts before will know what a huge loss to the team both John and Mike are and how difficult they will be to replace. At the moment the future of the pod is in a bit of a Twilight Zone while we assess how (and if) to proceed from here. It’s very possible that a new team will take over with a completely fresh spin on all things film, so whatever happens I guess you could say that this is the final episode of the “old” TDF Film Podcast. Thanks for listening folks!!
