Only in the weird and wonderful world of anime can we cover topics as diverse as heart warming dramas celebrating the life of a cuddly fictional septuagenarian actress to retro-tech space age drama set in a bizarre feudal alternate Earth, then take a walk on the wild side with a pitch-black fantastical neo-noir that pits an improbably tanned and toned Japanese supercop against demonic spider women with toothy penis-chomping vaginas! Yes it’s going to be one of those pods I’m afraid, but we promise that the three titles we’ve chosen to represent this vibrant and all-encompassing medium: Millennium Actress, Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise, and Wicked City are worth waxing lyrical about. We’ll also provide a basic overview of what anime is for anyone out there yet to experience the simple joys of this unique form of animation.
