Director Marshall Curry is no stranger to the Oscars, with his latest short film, The Neighbour’s Window, marking the fourth time he has been nominated by the Academy. Two full lengths – If a Tree Falls: A Story of the Earth Liberation Front and Street Fight – were previously selected, along with 2017 short, A Night at the Garden. Unfortunately Curry has yet to win a golden statuette, but maybe it will be fourth time lucky this time round. We’ve already seen what The Woman in the Window thriller has in-store, while Curry’s offers a different voyeuristic perspective seen from one flat peeking into another. The Neighbour’s Window tells the story of Alli, a mother of young children who has grown frustrated with her daily routine and husband. But her life is shaken up when two free-spirited twenty-somethings move in across the street and she discovers that she can see into their apartment.
