Warner Home Video R1 Announcements

Another recent Theatrical Release, Thirteen Ghosts will receive the Special Edition treatment on April 2nd. Expect a 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen transfer, and English and French DD5.1 Audio while on the Extra Features front we will be getting an Audio Commentary with production designer Sean Hargreaves and creator of special make-up effects Howard Berger, 12 "Ghost Files" in-depth vignettes, the "Thirteen Ghosts Revealed" featurette, a video montage with deleted footage, and the original theatrical trailer. Retail is $24.95.

On the 7th May you will be able to add some comedies to your Clint Eastwood Collection with Any Which Way You Can and Every Which Way But Loose. Both discs feature 1:85:1 Anamorphic Transfers, English DD5.1 and French Mono Audio Tracks and the Original Theatrical Trailers while the retail price is just $19.95 with an additional 'Two-Pack' also available for $39.95.

Warner have plenty of TV Series DVDs arriving in April, with Doctor Who - The Caves Of Androzani and Doctor Who - Remembrance Of The Daleks kicking things off on the 2nd. Both releases feature a 4:3 Transfer, and English Mono and Mono Mix sound with an RRP of $24.95each. Later on the 30th April Warner will release the miniseries The Way We Live which will again be presented in its original 4:3 Aspect Ratio, will feature DD2.0 Stereo sound and will contain the "Life and Times of Anthony Trollope" Featurette and a "Who's Who In The Cast" feature. This two disc set will retail at $39.95. On the same day you will also be able to buy Douglas Adams The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy that will be presented with a 4:3 Transfer, DD2.0 Stereo sound while the 2-disc set will also boast a selection of extra features including "The Making of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy", Deleted scenes, Outtakes, and an Audio interview with Douglas Adams. All of this will retail for a reasonable $34.95.

Moving to American Television Warner will finally debut the first series of Friends on R1 DVD for April 30th. This 5-disc box set will be presented with a 4:3 Transfer, DD2.0 Stereo and will retail for $69.95. No extra features have been announced at this time.
