Warner bring 4 classic westerns to DVD

Warner Home Video have announced the UK Region 2 DVD releases of Chisum, McCabe & Mrs Miller, Cahill: U.S. Marshal and Young Guns II for 25th August 2003 with a retail price of £12.99 each. Details on each release are as follows...

Chisum (1970) - As a founder of the town of Lincoln, cattle baron John Chisum (John Wayne) is increasingly worried as Lawrence Murphy (Forrest Tucker) rapidly takes over the town and local land. Chisum and his fellow honest ranchers seek the backing of the law to stop his questionable activities, but Murphy owns that too. It becomes clear that this town ain't big enough for the both of them...

McCabe & Mrs Miller (1971) - Charismatic but simple John McCabe (Warren Beatty) arrives in a young Western town to set up a saloon and brothel. Shrewd madam Mrs. Miller (Julie Christie) offers her experience to help McCabe run the business: it thrives, as does the relationship between them, despite their conflicting intelligence and attitudes. But when the town's mining deposits attract big business, McCabe refuses to sell up. This decision has serious repercussions for him, Mrs Miller and the townsfolk.
