Underwater trailer: Kristen Stewart has to fight for her life in the deep blue
Since starring in Twlight and developing their own individual paths, it's almost impossible to ignore the similarities between the ways Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have pursued their respective careers. Underwater sees Stewart headlining another big studio film which will appear in cinemas after she stars in the reboot of Charlie's Angels at the end of the year. Both Stewart and Pattinson have gone the arthouse/indie route post-Twlight but are now mixing them in with studio projects that will allow them to focus on the smaller projects that seem to be closer to their heart. Going by the trailer, Underwater seems like pretty standard deep water/monster/survival fare and you can watch it above by hitting play.
A crew of underwater researchers must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory.
William Eubank (Love, The Signal) directs, with the cast rounded out by T.J. Miller, Jessica Henwick, Mamoudou Athie, Vincent Cassel and John Gallagher Jr.
Underwater floods into UK and US cinemas on January 10, 2020.
