Unbreakable

Buena Vista have at last announced the full Region 2 retail release of Unbreakable on 29 October. We can thankfully expect the same two-disc special edition that has been available in the US for a couple of months already.

Directed by M Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense), Unbreakable stars Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson in roles at the opposite ends of the spectrum. Willis plays the survivor of a train crash in which everyone else dies, Jackson plays a comic book collector who believes that Willis's survival is a sign.

The two disc set will retail for £24.99 and will feature:

  • Behind-the-scenes featurette. Director M Night Shyamalan, the actors and producers discuss the theme storyboards, shot structure, visual design, sound design and reflections
  • Comic book featurette by Samuel L Jackson
  • Making of Train Station Sequence with option of multi-angle viewing
  • M Night Shyamalan childhood movie - excerpt from a fight scene that Shyamalan made as a teenager
  • Seven deleted scenes with an introduction by Shyamalan:
    • Elijah taken away
    • Audrey in waiting room
    • David in shower
    • Elijah at fair
    • David with Priest
    • Audrey calls David
    • Weightlifting in Locker Room
