UK Box Office Report [Nov. 13 - Nov. 15]

Welcome to the UK Box Office Report for the weekend of Nov. 6 - Nov. 8

The following Top 5 list is determined by a films sterling gross at UK Cinemas between Friday and Sunday for this week.

(Also included are: The Films rank in the previous week, the number of weeks it has been showing as well as its total taking since its UK release)

[1] Spectre - £7,833,891 (3rd Week - Total: £77,579,879)

[2] The Lady in the Van - £2,256,121 (New Release)

[3] Hotel Transylvania 2 - £912,896 (5th Week - Total: £18,559,789)

[4] Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - £911,942 (New Release)

[5] Steve Jobs - £903,214 (New Release)

Once again, SPECTRE holds on to top spot with a 41% drop on last weeks figures and brings its overall UK total to just under £78 million.

The new Maggie Smith film, THE LADY IN THE VAN had an impressive opening weekend parking itself in 2nd position which previously belonged to HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2 which even in it's fifth week managed to only suffer a drop of 18% on its previous weeks figures bringing its total to £18.5 million.

In what could be considered a shock result, the Hindi film PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO debuted at number 4 in the Top 5 this week beating the biopic STEVE JOBS (which debuted at number 5) by just £8,000. Last weeks new releases BROOKLYN and BURNT fell to 6th and 10th with drops of 25% and 61% respectively which was slightly unexpected (especially for BROOKLYN).

Also finally skydiving out of the Top 5 is PAN which took £485,702 this weekend which is a drop of 7%.

Elsewhere, other new releases THE HALLOW and FATHERS & DAUGHTERS failed to capture audiences making a measly £51,742 and £25,199 respectively.

With Bond's weekend takings falling to over £7 million, will everyone's favourite spy be able to use his gadgets to stay in top spot with Katniss Everdeen lurking in the shadows with her bow? Or will Maggie Smith be able to block Katniss with her trusty van? We will have to wait and see...

THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2 hits UK Cinemas on November 19th.
