Another small selection of films are released for the week led by the apparent farewell of Daniel Day Lewis in Phantom Thread. Denzel Washington earned an Oscar nomination for Roman J. Israel, Esq and an Oscar hopeful that fell short this year was Journey's End. If you are looking for straight up heist film, Den of Thieves will be happy to oblige while Helen Miriam hopes to scare the bejebus out of you in Winchester. Dogwoof's latest release, Makala, is a slow burn but powerful documentary and finally Tokyo Ghoul brings to life the long-running fantasy manga series.

Den of Thieves

Journey's End

Set in a dugout in Aisne in 1918, it is the story of a group of British officers, led by the mentally disintegrating young officer Stanhope, variously awaiting their fate.

Phantom Thread
