The Wave trailer: Justin Long descends into a never-ending trip
Not to be confused with Trey Edward Shults' Waves, The Wave is something completely different and designed to take you on one hell of a trip. It's essentially about a man who takes an hallucinogen and then spends the rest of the film tripping balls. That means he also has to deal with all of the usual stuff in life while completely off his head and the trailer will give you a good idea of how that turns out. It's set to make it's premiere at Fantastic Fest this weekend and will probably end up getting a release date for early next year. Hit play above to get a first look at The Wave.
Frank, an opportunistic insurance lawyer, thinks he’s in for the time of his life when he goes out on the town to celebrate a soon-to-be promotion with his co-worker, Jeff (Donald Faison), but their night takes a turn for the worst when Frank is dosed with a hallucinogen that alters his perception and changes his life forever. He is thrown into a psychedelic quest through board meetings, nightclubs, shootouts, and alternate dimensions. As Frank ping-pongs across reality, he finds himself on a mission to find a missing girl, himself… and his wallet.
