The Village (R1) in January - Revised Artwork added

Buena Vista Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of M.Night Shyamalan's The Village for 11st January 2005 priced at $29.99 SRP. With an all-star cast, including Joaquin Phoenix, Adrien Brody, Bryce Dallas Howard, William Hurt and Sigourney Weaver, Shyamalan tells the thrilling tale of an isolated village confronting the mysterious danger that lies just outside its borders.

On DVD, bonus materials for The Village include never-before-seen deleted scenes; “Deconstructing The Village” - a look at the making of the film from the premiere back to pre-production; a special M. Night Shyamalan home movie; and a production photo gallery. The Village will be available in separate widescreen and fullscreen DVD editions, each with English Dolby Digital 6.1 EX Surround.

Also available on January 11, discover The Buried Secret of M.Night Shyamalan. This mockumentary is billed as the real insider’s look at auteur filmmaker and “master of chills” M. Night Shyamalan, director of “Signs” and “The Sixth Sense.” The creative secrets of this master filmmaker are revealed through exclusive interviews with childhood friends, neighbours, and Hollywood stars including “The Village” cast member Adrien Brody, and superstar Johnny Depp (“Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”). Through this unique DVD, fans can look in on the set of “The Village” and find the website that only true M. Night fans know. The Buried Secret of M.Night Shyamalan is directed by Nathanial Khan, director of the Oscar®-nominated film “My Architect: A Son’s Journey.”
