The Staggering Girl trailer: Get a first look at Luca Guadagnino's new short film

Based on Valentino Haute Couture created by Valentino’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Luca Guadagnino's new short, The Staggering Girl, is set to arrive exclusively on MUBI in a couple of weeks time. The Call Me By Your Name director teamed up with the iconic fashion house (who produced the short) and debuted the project at Cannes last year. Legendary composer Ryuichi Sakamoto also provides the schore, which has managed to bring together quite a strong cast. The Staggering Girl trailer has just been released and you can check it out above.

The film tells the story of Francesca, an Italian-American writer who lives in New York and must return to Rome to retrieve her ageing mother.

Julianne Moore leads the cast, with support from Mia Goth, KiKi Layne, Kyle MacLachlan, Marthe Keller and director/actress Alba Rohrwacher.

The Staggering Girl will be available worldwide (excluding Italy, China, Japan, and Russia) on MUBI from February 15.
