The National Lottery Cinema Day is offering free cinema tickets this weekend

As part of the 25th anniversary of the National Lottery, there will be over 500,000 free cinema tickets available this Sunday, August 25 for anyone who buys a Lotto ticket for this Saturday's draw.

Over the years, the National Lottery have provided millions to the BFI to help with the funding of over 500 original films made in the UK. This has resulted in 15 Oscars, 100 BAFTAs and 29 Cannes awards, including films like The King’s Speech, Bend it Like Beckham and Pride.

The National Lottery Cinema Day is in partnership with the BFI and over 250 cinemas nationwide. If you wish to claim your free cinema ticket simply present your August 24 Lotto Double Prize Draw ticket at participating cinemas. This includes the likes of ODEON, Picturehouse, Empire, Light, Merlin and Picturehouse. Players of all National Lottery games must be aged 16 or over.

We need your help

Running a website like The Digital Fix - especially one with over 20 years of content and an active community - costs lots of money and we need your help. As advertising income for independent sites continues to contract we are looking at other ways of supporting the site hosting and paying for content.

You can help us by using the links on The Digital Fix to buy your films, games and music and we ask that you try to avoid blocking our ads if you can. You can also help directly for just a few pennies per day via our Patreon - and you can even pay to have ads removed from the site entirely.
