The Isle in May

Tartan Video have announced the UK DVD release of The Isle for 23rd May 2005 priced at £19.99. A mute young woman oversees the needs of fishermen on a remote lake. When a fugitive seeks refuge on one of the floating huts, they develop an obsessive love for each other that is both dangerous to themselves as well as increasingly passionate. Hauntingly beautiful but extremely disturbing too. Another mesmerising tale for Korea’s Kim Ki-duk, director of Bad Guy and Spring, Summer, Autumn Winter…and Spring.
