Universal Pictures have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of The Hitcher on 1st October 2007 priced at £19.99. In this remake of the 1986 terror classic college students Grace Andrews (Sophia Bush) and Jim Halsey (Zachary Knighton) find themselves tormented by a mysterious and psychotic hitchhiker John Ryder, a.k.a. The Hitcher (Sean Bean). The young couple hit the open road on their way to meet friends for spring break in New Mexico, but their road trip leads them on to the highway to hell.
