Surviving Christmas with the Relatives trailer: A time for caring and sharing - or not
Surviving Christmas with the Relatives is what most of us will be doing in a couple of months, so it only makes sense there is a film about it too. Lucky are those who get to spend only a few hours trapped in with aunts and uncles, while the less fortunate might be subjected to it for days on end. As we hear in the trailer: "You don't have to like someone just because you're related to them." Check out the trailer for Surviving Christmas with the Relatives above to see more.
The film sees two sisters and their families come together in their recently deceased parents’ falling down country house, with chaotic consequences. Miranda and Dan are refugees from city life trying to set up a small holding with their kids in tow, and Lila is a fading Hollywood star married to her alcoholic agent, Trent. Ancient sibling rivalries flare up again to sabotage the hope for a season of good will.
James Dearden directs (whose last film Rogue Trader was almost 20 years ago), with the cast starring Patricia Hodge, Sally Phillips, Gemma Whelan, Julian Ovenden, Joely Richardson and Michael Landes.
Surviving Christmas with the Relatives opens in UK cinemas on November 30th.
