Sunset trailer: A first look at the new film from Son of Saul director László Nemes

Hungarian director László Nemes’ Son of Saul won at awards at Cannes, Golden Globes and the Oscars leaving many eagerly anticipating his next release. With the Venice Film Festival due to start at the end of the month, Nemes' new film, Sunset (Napszállta), is set to make its début there, shortly followed by an appearance at TIFF. The first teaser trailer for the film arrived a couple of weeks ago and now the full trailer for Sunset can be watched above right now.

Set in Budapest in 1913, Sunset focuses on Irisz Leiter, a young woman who arrives in the Hungarian capital hoping to work at a legendary hat store previously owned by her late parents. When she is turned away, she sets on a search for a man who can reveal the truth about a lost past.

László Nemesh has once again co-written the script with Clara Royer, and stars Son of Saul actress Juli Jakab in the lead role supported by Vlad Ivanov and Susanne Wuest.

Of course, there are no UK release dates for Sunset at the moment but we anticipate it will be around April of next year. It opens in Hungary on 27th September 2018.
