Strange(r) Things are set to happen at Secret Cinema later this year

Secret Cinema have announced a new event due to start on November 13 of this year. But instead of presenting an immersive film experience they will be creating a real-world version of a hugely popular TV show - Stranger Things.

Currently, Secret Cinema are preparing for a summer of Bond with their Casino Royale event due to kick off on June 5 through to September 22. As always we will be providing a full review shortly after the fun begins in a few weeks time.

Secret Cinema Presents Stranger Things will transport fans to the suburban town of Hawkins, following the students of the nearby high school and their struggle with the dark, supernatural shadow of 'The Upside Down'.

It has been created in official collaboration with Netflix and will allow for the introduction of new characters, storylines and locations, as well as revisiting many of the existing narratives that will have played out across three seasons by the time the event begins. Fabien Riggall, Creator of Secret Cinema, commented:

Stranger Things is a magical and wonderful creation that takes the audience on a ride into a dreamlike '80s wonderland. We are really excited to bring the format of Secret Cinema into the Duffer Brothers richly created world. We believe passionately in bringing people together in a physical environment away from their screens and this is the perfect world in which to launch our TV strand. Be prepared to be relocated to Hawkins!”

Secret Cinema Presents Stranger Things will also run events specifically for young adults every Saturday, with a matinee performance available for audiences aged 15 and over, starting at 1.30pm. Tickets for matinees will start at £35 + booking fees.

All tickets will go on O2 priority presale at 9am (GMT) on Wed May 22 and on general sale at 12pm (GMT) on Tuesday May 28. The production will run between Wednesday to Sunday each week, with tickets priced from £49 + booking fees.
