Star Trek: Region 2 film dates...

We have some tentative dates for the remaining six Star Trek films in Region 2...

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (January 2001)
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (March 2001)
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (May 2001)
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (July 2001)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (September 2001)
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (November 2001)

All should feature anamorphic transfers, but will most likely be very light in terms of extras. There is a possibility of a nine-disc box-set being released in time for next Christmas.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture will hopefully be the new enhanced version (new improved effects shots and additional footage) being released in Region 1 later this year.

As for the series on DVD, rumour has it that Paramount are currently undecided on what they plan to release in Region 2. The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager are all being considered for release but no firm decisions have been made - and Paramount are still unsure how many episodes they'd include on the discs (could be as low as 1 or as many as 4).

For more information, pop across to the Star Trek Fandom web site and thanks to Ian M for pointing this out in the DVD Forums.

UPDATE: I've added started a new poll to see which Star Trek series DVD Times readers most want on DVD... If you're interested in seeing one of the series released then make sure you get your vote in.
