Six Shooter in February

Cinema Club have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Six Shooter for 12th February 2007 priced at £5.99. This award-winning 27-minute Irish black comedy was produced with Kenton Allen and Fantastic Films in Dublin. The film debut of acclaimed playwright Martin McDonagh, has won over 7 international awards including a 2006 Academy Award and a BIFA Award and was nominated for a 2005 BAFTA.

The short revolves around four people, each suffering a very recent death in their families. Starring Brendan Gleeson as a bereaved man, after the sudden death of his wife he boards a train home. Here he encounters a strange and possibly psychotic passenger (Ruaidhri Conroy), his outlandish behaviour sparks a chain of events that lead inexorably to a major showdown.
