Sicario: Day of the Soldado trailer: The drug war escalates

While Denis Villeneuve and Emily Blunt won't be returning for the sequel to Sicario, neither will Daniel Kaluuya or Roger Deakins (replaced by Ridley Scott's long time DoP, Dariusz Wolski), but there are still some familiar faces to be found. The new trailer and full title - Sicario: Day of the Soldado - have been rolled out and you can check it out above.

The drug war on the US – Mexico border has escalated as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border. To fight the war, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) re-teams with the mercurial Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro).

Italian director Stefano Sollima (who has been involved with the brutal Mafia TV series Gomorrah) and Taylor Sheridan returns to pen another script. Catherine Keener, Matthew Modine, Isabela Moner and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo also feature in the cast.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado comes into UK cinemas on June 29th 2018.
