Share trailer: The Cannes and Sundance award winning drama arrives on HBO
Pippa Bianco’s feature length debut, Share, picked up the Golden Camera award at Cannes last month after scooping a few prizes at Sundance at the start of the year. It is now set to make its debut on HBO at the end of July. The film gives a different side to the high school experience, with the synopsis suggesting something similar to Brazilian film Rust, which was on the festival circuit last year. Based on Pippa Bianco’s Cannes Film Festival award-winning short of the same name, this feature-length drama stars Rhianne Barreto as 16-year-old Mandy, who discovers a disturbing video from a night she doesn’t remember and must try to figure out what happened and how to navigate the escalating fallout.
Bianco also penned the script, with the cast starring Charlie Plummer, Poorna Jagannathan, J.C. MacKenzie, Nicholas Galitzine, Lovie Simone and Danny Mastrogiorgio.
Share plays on HBO on July 27.
