Shaolin Soccer in August - Updated with specs

Buena Vista Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Shaolin Soccer for 24th August 2004 priced at $19.99 SRP. This outrageously entertaining film tells the story of a handful of misfits who form a soccer team and use their extraordinary Kung Fu
skills to beat their arch rivals.

After a troubled transition period in which Stephen Chow's hilarious Chinese sports comedy saw numerous theatrical release dates come and go, with name changes, editing, dubbing and more being tested on audiences invited to test screenings Miramax have finally come to their senses and chosen to release the film "because fans demanded it," on DVD with both the U.S. Theatrical version and the original Hong Kong version.
