Secret Cinema announce Casino Royale as their next event

For the past seven days, Secret Cinema have been teasing the life out of their loyal followers on social media, dropping a series of cryptic clues to throw people off the trail. This morning they announced that director Martin Campbell's Casino Royale would be the next event.

After the success of Blade Runner and Romeo + Juliet last year, they are now turning super spy to bring us into the world of James Bond. The announcers have said this will be their biggest event yet, although as usual, the exact location will be kept under wraps for the time being.

After Danny Boyle left production and Cary Fukunaga took over as director, Bond 25 - rumoured to be Daniel Craig's last - is set for release in early 2020, and Secret Cinema take us back to the first time the British actor took on the mantle of 007.

There will be 1,500 people arriving every night as part of Operation Wild Card, each one given an alias and asked to work as members of either Q Branch or M Branch. As always, there will be a dress code and immersive experiences "to help them prepare for a night of high stakes, sophistication and deception".

Casino Royal director Martin Campbell said: "I hear it's a wonderful immersive experience, and judging by its past reactions, it's going to present the film in a way that it's never been seen before. I can't wait!"

Secret Cinema Presents Casino Royale starts on May 29th 2019 and will run through to July. The experience will run from Wednesday - Sunday each week, with tickets priced between £40 - £175 (plus booking fees).

Tickets will be available on the Secret Cinema website from December 6th 2018, from 12:00 (GMT).

EDIT 3/12/18: The dates have now been changed. Secret Cinema Presents Casino Royale will now begin from Wednesday 19th June 2019.
