Samaritan Girl in August

Tartan Video have announced the UK DVD release of Samaritan Girl for 21st August 2006 priced at £19.99. Hoping to fulfil their dreams of travelling to Europe, two teenage girls Yeo-jin (from Whispering Corridors) and Jae-yeong move into prostitution. They decide to be totally professional about it, with one handling the business side whilst the other entertains their clients. When Jae-yeong is accidentally killed in a police raid, Yeo-jin tracks down her friend’s clients and sleeps with them as an act of penance. It’s not long before her father discovers what she is doing and after taking revenge on the men in question embarks on a journey with his daughter in a desperate bid to gain absolution and redemption.

Part of Tartan’s growing Kim Ki-Duk collection the film is presented in anamorphic widescreen with DD2.0, DD5.1 & DTS 5.1 Surround audio. Extras include an introduction and interview with the director and the film’s trailer.
