Rambo V: Last Blood trailer: Sylvester Stallone has unfinished business

Sylvester Stallone was at Cannes recently, talking about his long career and to promote the last film in the Rambo series - Rambo V: Last Blood. For those who don't know, John Rambo was actually based on an American WWII-veteran Audie Murphy. The original '80s films seemed like the ideal representation of America's global image at the time, with Rambo storming into countries like a one man army blasting away the enemy. Stallone is superb as an ageing Rocky in the Creed franchise and looks to be taking Rambo through a similar journey (although still a killing machine by the looks of it). Check out the first trailer for Rambo V above.

Almost four decades after he drew first blood, Sylvester Stallone is back as one of the greatest action heroes of all time, John Rambo. Now, Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission.

Adrian Grunberg directs, with Adriana Barraza, Paz Vega, Yvette Monreal, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Oscar Jaenadam and Joaquín Cosío all supporting Stallone.

Rambo V opens in UK and US cinemas on September 20.
