"Wreck-It Ralph 2" set to Wreck the Internet in 2018 after Official Announcement by Disney
This morning Disney Animation took to Facebook Live to put the rumors to bed and officially announce that they are working on Wreck-It Ralph 2 for release on March 9th 2018.
Filmmaker Rich Moore and Phil Johnston (who co-wrote Zootropolis and Wreck-It Ralph) addressed fans before Ralph voice actor John C. Reilly made an appearance to make the announcement and wrecked a wall set up behind them to a cheering crowd of Disney employees.
Moore revealed that they had started working on the sequel as soon as the first movie was finished but that had to be put on hold to work on Zootropolis. Now that that is done, the team can fully focus on this project.
John C. Reilly also revealed to the world a brief plot synopsis which is as follows:
"Ralph leaves the arcade and wrecks the internet.”
However, with Wreck-It Ralph 2 coming on March 9th 2018, Disney Animation's film Gigantic has now been pushed back to November 21st 2018.
Also confirmed to return to the cast for the sequel is Sarah Silverman as Vanellope.
