Optimum in April

Here is what Optimum have coming to UK DVD and Blu-ray in April…

The Tales of Beatrix Potter - For its 40th Anniversary Optimum have restored the classic ballet film and are releasing it as a Double Play Blu-ray & DVD set. There are no extras.

The Man Who Fell To Earth - Blu-ray release of this film by Nic Roeg on 4th April. Full details here.

Caged - French horror gets a DVD only release. The only extra is the trailer.

Rubber - Directed by electro musician Quentin Dupieux (Steak, Nonfilm), aka Mr. Oizo, Rubber follows an inanimate tire named Robert that suddenly and inexplicably comes to life. Oh and it has telepathic abilities allowing it to explode things without so much as moving. Available on DVD and Blu-ray from 11th April, extras include interviews with Dupieux, actors Stephen Spinella, Jack Plotnick and Roxane Mesquida, first camera tests and the trailer.

Tekken - Luke Goss stars in this videogame adaptation. Available on DVD and Blu-ray from 11th April, extras include trailers, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.

The Door - (Die Tür) is a dark fantasy-thriller focussing on a broken man, given a second chance at life following a tragic accident. This film from German director Anno Saul is out on DVD only from 18th April. Extras include interviews with director, cast and producers, 12 deleted scenes and the trailer.

The Doors - This music biopic directed by Oliver Stone comes to Blu-ray Disc on 18th April. Restored, extras include commentary with Oliver Stone, the trailer and "Interview Music Video TBC".

Street Wars - The latest Steven Seagal film is an action thriller about an undercover team of cops targeting major criminals. Available on DVD and Blu-ray from 25th April, the only extra is the original trailer.
