Once Upon a Time in Hollywood trailer: Quentin Tarantino takes us back to the Manson murders
Quentin Tarantino has long since said he would only direct ten films and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood makes it number nine. Four years have passed since the release of The Hateful Eight and as you'd expect this is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2019. As we know, it pairs together Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt as a fading Hollywood star and stuntman respectively, with the story taking place during the Charles Manson era (played by Damon Herriman), Margot Robbie starring as Roman Polanski's wife Sharon Tate, and Rafal Zawierucha appearing as the director. Tarantino has been working on the script for the past five years and has put together a huge ensemble, with hopes high this will be up there with the best of his work. Anyway, enough of the talking, and check out the first trailer for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood above.
The story takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton, former star of a western TV series, and his long-time stunt double Cliff Booth. Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbour…Sharon Tate.
Supporting Pitt, DiCaprio and Robbie will be Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Bruce Dern, Damian Lewis, Nicholas Hammond, Scoot McNairy, Lena Dunham, Emile Hirsch, Tim Roth, Timothy Olyphant, Kurt Russell, Margaret Qualley and Luke Perry.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood opens in UK cinemas on August 14th.
