Eureka Video have announced their intention to release a two-disc special edition of the father of all vampire films - Nosferatu. F.W.Murnau's 1922 film opened the doorway for countless other vampire films right up until the present day, and many new films are still undoubtedly influenced by the horror classic.

The DVD release is due on 22 January 2001. Disc one features a sepia transfer of the movie, whereas disc two features a straight black-and-white transfer. We also get a commentary track, special footage, still photographs and a trailer for Metrodome's upcoming theatrical release of Shadow of the Vampire.

Nosferatu is expected to retail for £19.99.
