New Serenity trailer: Anne Hathaway puts Matthew McConaughey all at sea

It's been almost six months since the last trailer for Serenity arrived and the film has still to set a fixed release date. It sees Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway back together on screen for the first time since Interstellar, along with a fairly interesting support cast. The film seems like a lean thriller and a smaller affair than we've come to expect from these two megastars and will be released as part of Sky Cinema's Sky Originals. Watch the new trailer for Serenity above to see more.

This is a mysterious tale about a fishing boat captain whose past is about to crash up against his life on a small island in the Caribbean and ensnare him in a new reality that might not be all it seems to be.

Steven Knight (Locke) is directing, with the supporting cast featuring Jason Clarke, Diane Lane, Djimon Hounsou and Jeremy Strong.

Serenity opens in UK cinemas in Spring 2019.
