New Desperado & El Mariachi Special Editions

Columbia Tristar have announced 'all-new' Region 1 Special Edition releases of Desperado and El Mariachi for 26th August 2003. The 'all-new' claim seems a little far fetched as the differences between these editions and the previous releases appear to be little more than a promotional piece for Robert Rodriguez forthcoming Once Upon A Time In Mexico and a piece of video editing software in demo form. However, each film is now given a full DVD9 disc to itself and will apparently feature new director approved transfers so hopefully we can expect a much better AV experience this time round.
