New Captive State trailer: Aliens are running the show in Chicago

Thinking about this for a second, Captive State could've been set in Atlanta, rather than Chicago, and Outkast's ATLiens album used as the soundtrack. An obscure reference and something of a long shot? Probably. A way to fill up some lines for the introduction of a new trailer for the alien invasion film? Most definitely (the first one appeared back in September). It's Friday and it's been a long week. Click play above and feast your eyes on the new trailer for Captive State to see more of what's in store.

Set in a Chicago neighbourhood nearly a decade after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force, the film explores the lives on both sides of the conflict – the collaborators and dissidents.

Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) writes and directs with the cast starring John Goodman, Ashton Sanders, Jonathan Majors, Colson Baker and Vera Farmiga.

Captive State opens in UK cinemas on April 12th 2019.
