New and reduced titles from Fox in June
Fox Home Entertainment have announced a range of summer titles including films on UK DVD for the very first time and other catalogue favourites at a new low price.
New to DVD on 7th June 2004 and retailing at £5.99 each are:
Taps - Known as the film that launched the careers of both Tom Cruise and Sean Penn, Taps tells the story of a group of cadets desperate to protect the fate of their beloved military school. Following the announcement of the school’s closure by the headmaster (George C. Scott, The Hustler), Cadet Major Moreland (Timothy Hutton, Ordinary People) initially attempts to solve the problem diplomatically. However, when this tactic fails the cadets rally together in favour of more aggressive means. Moreland commands the operation with the help of his two most trusted officers – Sergeants Shawn (Cruise, Minority Report) and Dwyer (Penn, Mystic River). Moreland’s intent is to secure the academy by force until the board agree to keep the school open, but things quickly spiral out of control…
