My Bloody Valentine 3D (R1/US BD) in May

Lionsgate Home Entertainment have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of My Bloody Valentine 3D on 19th May 2009. This 3D remake of the 1981 horror about a small town that faces horrifying consequences on the anniversary of a deadly tragedy comes to DVD and Blu-ray with both 2D and 3D versions of the film on the disc.

Available in single-disc DVD ($29.95 SRP), Special Edition DVD ($34.98 SRP) and Blu-ray Disc ($39.99 SRP) features are outlined below…

Single-Disc DVD - Includes both 2D and 3D versions of the film presented in anamorphic widescreen with English DD5.1 Surround audio and English and Spanish subtitles. There are no extras, but you do get 4 pairs of 3D glasses.

Special Edition DVD - As above, plus the following extras:

  • Audio Commentary with Director Patrick Lussier and Co-Writer Todd Farmer
  • "Deep Inside My Bloody Valentine" -- a “making of” featurette
  • "Sex, Blood and Screams" -- The Special Make-Up FX of My Bloody Valentine” featurette
  • Deleted and Extended Scenes
  • Gag reel

Blu-ray Disc
    - Includes both 2D and 3D versions of the film and comes with 4 pairs of 3D glasses. Features include:
    • 1080P Widescreen
    • English 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio
    • English and Spanish subtitles
    • Audio Commentary with Director Patrick Lussier and Co-Writer Todd Farmer
