More casting news for Batman vs. Superman

Academy award nominee Jesse Eisenberg, best known for his roles in The Social Network and Zombieland and Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons have joined Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in up-and-coming superhero sequel Batman vs. Superman.

Eisenberg, nominated for his portrayal as Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network, has been cast as Superman's nemesis Lex Luthor and Irons will play Alfred, Bruce Wayne's faithful butler.

The two actors join the already impressive cast, which also includes Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) as well as Man of Steel stars Laurence Fisburne and Amy Adams, who will be reprising their roles as Perry White and Lois Lane respectively.

Batman vs. Superman is scheduled for a 2016 release, after an injury pushed back its initial 2015 release.
