Mondo Macabro Nikkatsu and Bollywood Titles

Mondo Macabro have sent over details on two recent releases in their Nikkatsu Erotic Cinema collection and details on the forthcoming Bollywood Horror Collection Vol. 2...

Female Prisoner: Caged! and Sins of Sister Lucia are both from Nikkatsu, one of the oldest Japanese movie studios. In 1971, they launched a series of erotic films that became world famous under the banner of “Romano Porno”. Made by top directors using lavish sets and costumes, these films were huge commercial successes and continue to fascinate audiences today.

Released on 27th January 2009 and 24th February 2009 respectively, both are priced at $24.98 SRP and share the same special features which include:

  • Mondo Macabro original documentary on the history of Nikkatsu Roman Porno, exclusive to this release

Female Prisoner: Caged! is presented in its original 1.85:1 aspect ratio and is enhanced for 16x9 TVs. Sins of Sister Lucia is presented in its original 2.35:1 aspect ratio and is enhanced for 16x9 TVs.

Bollywood Horror Collection Vol. 2 is a double disc set that features two films from Bollywood’s famous Ramsay Brothers production team. Arriving on 31st March 2009 priced at $29.98 SRP, the films and features are outlined below...

Disc 1: Veerana – Vengeance of the Vampire
The daughter of a well-respected village leader is possessed by the spirit of an evil witch, Nakita. She goes on a rampage, seducing men and sucking their blood. Disc 2: Purani Haveli – Mansion of Evil
A girl takes a group of her friends to visit an old mansion in the country, owned by her family. Unknown to any of them, the mansion is haunted by an evil entity. Many years before, the evil was trapped inside the mansion by an elderly man who now acts as its guardian. When he is killed, the evil is released and all who come near the mansion are its potential victims.
