Mission Impossible 6 gets a release date

Early this year, we reported that Mission Impossible 6 had been given the green-light after Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation made over $682 million at the worldwide box office.

Deadline reported today that Paramount announced that "MI6" will be hitting cinemas on July 27th 2018, just in-time for the Summer Blockbuster season. This date seems to be the result of Tom Cruise's production of The Mummy reboot with focus shifting once that is completed to Mission Impossible.

Also set to be released on the same weekend is DC's Aquaman (starring Jason Mamoa) so expect a big weekend at the box office if both studios hold their ground.
