Misery R1 CE in October

MGM Home Entertainment have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Misery (Collector’s Edition) on 2nd October 2007 priced at $19.98 SRP. Starring James Caan and Kathy Bates in the role that won her the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1991, Misery follows Paul Sheldon (Caan), a novelist who has garnered fame and fortune through his literary heroine “Misery Chastaine.” After a near fatal car crash, Sheldon is saved by his “number one fan” Annie Wilkes (Bates). While under Wilkes’ care Sheldon quickly realizes that the character of “Misery Chastaine” means more to her then he will ever know, thrusting him into a harrowing fight for his life. Directed by Rob Reiner and written by two-time Oscar winner William Goldman (All The President’s Men, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) from the popular novel by Stephen King; Misery features supporting performances from Lauren Bacall Richard Farnsworth and Frances Sternhagen.
