Minority Report TV Series In Development

Steven Spielberg is reportedly developing a TV show based upon his own 2002 sci-fi crime thriller Minority Report.

The film starred Tom Cruise as a police officer in the PreCrime division, who used technology to track down criminals and stop their crimes before they are committed, only for Cruise's character to himself be accused of a future murder.

The show has already brought writer Max Borenstein (Godzilla) on board, and will be produced by Spielberg's own company Amblin Entertainment. It is believed that Spielberg also wishes to tie down a big name for the lead, though any appearance by Tom Cruise is highly unlikely.

The film was an adaptation of the Philip K. Dick short story of the same name and also starred Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton and Max von Sydow.
